The Central Park Track Club was founded in 1972 by Dave Blackstone. Today, the club has over 400 members from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, of all ages, speeds and resting pulse rates. The club takes its name from the famous Central Park in the borough of Manhattan in New York City.
